I want to thank each of you who have been a part of Kelly's life through nurturing her by your words and work of your hands on The Wellness Tree. Each package that had been sent to Kelly reached her during a time when she needed it the most and gave her and her husband such support, inspiration and hope. As the ornaments kept rolling in, the last package was received by Kelly during this recent time during her stay in the hospital while she knew she was fighting for her life.
Kelly has been through many ups and downs these past few weeks and your prayers, support and love that each of us have held in our hearts for her and her family have been deeply felt.
Upon my last update on Kelly's health she was given news that there was nothing left to be done for her. This did not sit well with Kelly, she fought for her life and was not ready to give up, we all prayed for a miracle to be given to her and it was.
Her levels turned around for the good, answers were given, we knew that baby steps were still needed to be taken but hope for her going home was there.
With deepest sorrow in my heart I want to share with you that shortly after this positive news, Kelly's levels all moved in the wrong direction. They have continued on that course and now her kidney's are shutting down as well. Kelly's Dr.'s have said there is truly nothing else that can be done and she is now back at home.
I am humbled for being let in to Kelly's life, she has changed my life with her bright spirit and not once have I ever heard her complain. I am thankful in knowing her mother Susan, and her best friend Kandyce. They all are a bright blessing in my life and I am grateful for all that has been done by all of you to bring inspiration and hope into Kelly's life and her families lives these past months.
Please keep Kelly her husband Matt, and son Ari in your hearts during this time.
Without question I have it on my heart to continue the Wellness Tree in Kelly's name. She and I spoke about continuing it, she was so excited to be a big part of it to help someone else in the way she was supported. Because of Kelly's incredible spirit the Wellness Tree was born and it will continue to go on because of her.
This blog was made for Kelly and her family, your comments can be directed to them if you feel so lead.
.: Edited to add: A note from Susan, Kelly's mother... :.
Last night as I sat with Kelly, watching her struggle to breathe, I asked if she wanted anything for pain. She nodded her head and I gave her the medicine. Afterwards, she took a hold of my hand and said, "I'm happy." I kept hold of her hand and sometime during the early morning, she drifted into a coma. She rests peacefully and I know somehow she senses all the love coming her way and this is why she wanted me to know how she felt. I've not meant anyone of you personally, but I feel I know each and every one of you that has continue to send Kelly strength and love. I am gratefull to Nicole for providing the Wellness Tree and will help to continue this wonderful effort for other women who need to know they have people who care. Love to all, Susan

Oh Kelly, you amazing warrior. I am holding you and your dear family in my heart. My the sun shine on your beautiful soul, and with no pain set you free.

We send hope, love, compassion, peace to Kelly and her family and friends!
I am very sad to read about the update on Kellys health, sometimes it is very very hard to ask the question "WHY?" because we will not get an answer that can heal our sadness!

Kelly and her family have been constantly on my mind. One only wishes at this time that all prayers, positive powers, angels and everyones warm healing blessings can be felt by Kelly. This is a personal time for her family I am sure but I do hope my wishes of strength and courage will reach her.
Warm healing blessings Kelly.

Dear Kelly,
I greatly admire your positivity!
I know that in such a difficult situation, people do not know what to say or how to react.
It's a good idea to continue the wellness tree!
There are unfortunately many people in the same situation.
Kelly, you have a special place in my heart! I wish you and your family the best!
Big hugs, Patricia xo

There is so much I would like to say, and to make it poetic and all that. But nothing sounds right. So I just wanted to say this
It's not fair. It's not fair to take a young, vibrant woman away from her little family and her friends and loved ones. It's not fair to take someone so young, with so much left to do. It's just not fair.
My prayers are with her and her family. Also to all those who have known her.

My life has been touched, deeply, by the losses of several young mothers in the past year.
May their children always know and feel the fierce and eternal love their mothers felt for them.

It is such a sad and confusing journey to be on, and one you never expect to take at this time in your life. I think it is a beautiful thing that the Wellness Tree spirit will live on in memory of Kelly. It sounds like her spirit has found peace and it will continue to be with all those who need her now and into the future. It is heartbreaking to let go, and I shed tears despite not personally knowing you. I wish you strength Kelly in this journey. I wish your family and friends strength, compassion, and love for the days, weeks and months to come. Be kind to yourselves. That is the best gift you can give right now. Peace to you all.

May Kelly find the peace to let go and I wish her to be able to see the family from high above!
Though she might be away someday she will always be there as she is a part of her son, her parents and of course her husband and friends through the love she spread and the things she did!
I wish you all strenght to overcome the sadness,
Love Nina
