"Here I stand with fresh from the garden, green beans about to be
dehydrated along with some banana slices for future eating. Our plants
are being devoured by spiky, yellow worms so I am not sure how much
more we will get to harvest. It seems the more attention we give our
garden the more attention the wildlife and bugs give it too." ~Lynnette
"Here I stand with my little friends from my school, enjoying a beautiful summer day in the damp morning grass." ~ Sara
"I lower my feet into the creek enjoying it’s coolness as tiny ripples gently form." ~ Jeanene
"To the River....." ~ Heidi
"Jude rather loves walking these days, and even took his own first,
unsupported steps last week! Mostly though, he pleads with us to hold
hands and walk outside, which is his absolute favourite place in the
whole world (: He will wander outside for hours, poking at treasures in
the grass, tracing with sticks in the dirt, being saucy and pretending
to eat rocks because he knows he shouldn't, and of course playing in
any little bit of water he can get his hands on ~" Samantha Tara
"I planted nasturtiums among the tomatoes and cucumbers in the
greenhouse as a ground cover and companion. Their scent hits me as I
enter the warm greenhouse, mixing with the tomatoes and the basil
plants. I grab a handful of seeds, ready to research how I can add them
to my winter larder (suggestions welcome)." ~ Cheryl
"Last Wednesday I wandered into labor. This Wednesday is a bit more mellow..." ~Wintry
"Since I'm not wandering too far these days, today's walk took us over
to our friend Heidi's house, where she and her children were coloring
their sidewalk with chalk." ~Wintry
"Behind these mama feet and feline feet, are the scampering sounds of
many children feet. These children feet, knowing full well that mama is
strangely distracted by her own feet for a moment, are scheming about
the next inventive escapade to dance into. What does happen if you "water" the plants with flour?" ~Wabi Sabi Wanderings
"Here I stand at the edge of the lake, there is an unbelievable amount
of butterflies fluttering all around, drawn here it appears by
sweetness left behind by human visitors, I am amazed at how close they
allow me to get, the children run past me splashing in and out of the
water, and the butterflies once again take to the air in search of more
sweetness." ~ Christina
"This week I relished the feeling of cool, gently running water on my
farmer-tanned-toes. As I peered in the clear, refreshing water, I saw
the reflection of three pairs of feet - my own and the feet of those
with whom I build a family. It was delightful. Here I am, here are my
feet, and the feet of those wonderful & beautiful people I'm
honored to share my summer day in the forest, and my life with." ~Jen
" I got thoroughly wet and muddy, breathed in lots of rain scented fresh
air, cleaned my feet in the overflowed water from our rainwater tank,
and then headed inside to get warm and dry underneath cozy quilts. " ~ Karen
"Here I stand, and then sit at my sewing machines. It is late at night, the only time I can focus my attention to sewing." Valorie
.: Here I stand... after collecting a basketful of eggs I scatter a cupful of feed, giving back to the chickens that wander freely. :.
