.: My vintage aprons making me smile on the line :.
While driving along the country roads around home I take joy in seeing a glimpse of neighbor's yards with blossoming flowers sharing the story of spring. I love to spot clotheslines waving hello as we pass by. What a gift to have linens dried by the sun and the wind!.: My collection of vintage aprons blowing in the wind on the clothesline :.
My husband smiles as I say "Oh look! What a beautiful clothesline!" I often think to myself wouldn't it be lovely to have photos of all of these lovely lines? I knew that I could ask you friends here to join me in our shared love of the art of laundry on the line!.: Wooden clothespins set out on the line with my son gathering up apples in the background. (GardenMama Archives) :.
Here is my birthday photography challenge!
.: Two of my children pretending they are in a "boat" under the clothes on the line (A photo from last year while we spent time on a small island) :.
Lets make this chore of hanging laundry beautiful and fun! It could be skeins of yarn you recently dyed hanging on the line, a row of beautiful handmade dresses, or aprons waving in a row. Bring your cameras out with you and get creative!.: Bouquets of Hydrangeas I set out to dry (GardenMama Archive) :.
It could be your everyday laundry reminding you of the ages of your children (by little socks and shirts), or you could arrange your clothing in rainbow order. Be as creative as you wish!.: The children enjoy time playing alongside the clothesline in a tepee :.
I would love to see what type of clothespins you are using. Maybe your chickens will walk alongside your line, or you will hang a line right in front of a newly flowering garden just for the beauty of it all. A miniature line set out for your children's dolly wash day would be lovely too!.: A warm sunny day with a bit of wind made for a perfect day to hang our wash on the line! :.
The only requirement for this photography challenge is that your clothesline be the main point of view!
.: Stopping mid-way between setting our clothing on the line to appreciate this beauty of the line:.
