Angela is a  Mom to two boys. She was born and raised in Germany.  She recently shared with me some of  her own ideas about toys and play :.

"I have always loved the wooden toys I grew up with. Now living in the States I try my best to give my kids the same memories."

"I love everything about wooden toys: the way they feel to the touch, the way they smell, their natural appearance and beauty and the uniqueness that comes with each handcrafted wooden item. May it be the wood grain or a little differences in the paint, it all adds to the charm, I believe."

"By creating toys I am able to combine my love for wooden toys and my passion for being creative. The result is truly handcrafted art that allows for endless hours of imaginative play."

"I brainstorm and sketch, my husband cuts, I sand, paint, polish. We only use non-toxic water-based colors. We make our own polish at home that consists of beeswax and olive oil.  I get inspiration from books (see the Rootchildren), German children's movies, memories of my own toys, and tons of imagination."
