Mothering magazine is a informational resource that blessed my newly pregnant life over seven years ago. A close family friend, (a Le Leche League leader for many years) gifted Mothering to me and knew of the deep wisdom that was held for me in it's pages. Through the gentle yet powerful writing I learned more about the mothering style that I knew I already held close to my heart.
All of these insightful methods of nurturing the new little one that was still in my womb were written about in such a beautiful, informative and supportive way. It gave me confidence and support in my decisions as a new mother.

Mothering Magazine also gave me great resources when I was looking for more information on the vaccination debate. It was as if this magazine was a friend that spoke to me. Through reading its pages I felt connection to a community of women who also chose this way of life for their families.
Seeing reader-submitted photos sent in of sweet children wearing their baby dolls in slings, breastfeeding stuffed animals, and mothering and fathering in the way they have known makes me feel happy. It reminds of my own children who have also emulated this way of love and nurturing towards their dolls.
I have seen some of your names signed to letters that have been sent in, and know that many of you are active on the Mothering online forums. Like this blogging community, Mothering magazine has also felt like a vital community to me over the years--from pregnancy right into the present moment.
Cloth diapering, slings, and natural toys are about the only ads you will see in this magazine. Through online visits to small family-run natural toy stores I discovered in Mothering, I found the lovely natural handmade toys that I knew I wanted for our family. This resource is filled with beautiful natural photos throughout and intelligent, life changing stories written inside.
Many of us were delighted to see some of our favorite crafty mama bloggers in a recent edition, and continue to be inspired by these women through their blogs. Many of our favorite mama blogger's Etsy shops have also been featured in the pages of this magazine. I appreciate seeing this support. Mothering has made me laugh, cry, think, question, and smile on this path of Motherhood.
We are all making this journey our own. It does not matter whether you follow just one or all of these concepts of living--the main ingredient is that we are all mothers together on this journey, and I feel there is genuine inspiration and love for all to be found among its pages.
I am excited to gift one of you with a one year subscription to this beautiful magazine. May it be a blessing, help, learning experience, and confirmation in your life as it has been in mine.
