On this Spring weekend the sun shared its glorious rays with us once again! Cheerful, yellow flowers are growing up all around us in the gardens around our new home! The birds sang out to us that spring is here on this Easter weekend! Robin egg blue skies matching so beautifully with the eggs that will be hiding for us in the gardens and in the grass on Easter day!

We appreciate the chickens that gifted us with eggs that soon would be colored natural shades of blues and browns. We participate in hunting for eggs in the nesting boxes and once more hunting for colorfully dyed eggs in the yard.

Beautiful brown eggs from the chickens that like to range on the greenery around my parent's home. My youngest son hunts for these "unadorned" eggs that will be brought in the house to be dyed with cabbage and onion skins.

My eldest son proudly displays the work that he and his brother and sister shared of shredding the leaves of this beautiful vegetable. (Soon to be boiled on the stove to color our delicate brown eggs a lovely shade of blue!)

The eggs were brought home and hidden among the new green shoots that are now beginning to emerge from the gardens. Once again these beautiful eggs are carefully placed into the children's baskets in celebration of Easter and the beauty of this day.

The earth is in bloom around our home! The green of the grass that grows in the yard brings a smile to our faces! The song of the birds and the kiss of the sun awakens our senses as we celebrate this day!
.:My youngest son loves to spray the tender Sunflower shoots and nurtures them each morning:.
Reused egg cartons become nesting places for sprouting shoots of new spring life. This carton will soon fill the garden with many diverse varieties of Sunflowers to brighten our days. The cycle of life begins anew!
