As the snow continues to gather outside of our door we add another log onto the fire. Our woolen slippers and sweaters provide another layer of coziness and the vintage record player quietly lends a peaceful rhythm into our day. We light beeswax candles and embark on our own family Christmas tradition to plant Paperwhite Narcissus bulbs in vintage planters with fresh cranberries..: A wooden tray set out on our table, full with cranberries :.
Each year we seek out another vintage planter to add to our collection. Just as we set our ornaments out in a spot of honor, these planters are taken out with a similar reverence. It is a delightful family tradition to trade the tablecloth that once graced the Thanksgiving table for a new vintage tablecloth in celebration of this new exciting season. We then set out bowls for the children that are full with bulbs, fresh cranberries, and a glass pitcher of water in preparation for the planting to commence.
